Caramel Portrait

Caramel

Caramel was the ‘mom’ mouse. She was  caramel colored and slightly larger than the other mice in the family. She was never totally tame, but she wasn't wild either. She didn't see very well and would sometimes squint. She loved running and was always grooming the other mice in her group (whether they wanted to be groomed or not).

She was the architect for nest building. She was always ripping up tissues and rearranging the aspen shavings until was just right (and she was the only one who knew when it was just right!). The other mice just didn't understand how much work it was to build the nest correctly. Caramel was a good mouse and taught her family well. We miss her and so does her mouse family.
