Ginger

I'm Ginger and I'm brownish black (I'm marked like a tiger cat). I'm a guard mouse. I protect the houses and cages from marauding human fingers. I think it's rude when Mom and Dad laugh at me! It's not my fault my mouth is too little to bite through a finger. I like treats of sunflower seeds and Cheerios among other things. I'm on the chubby side because I love to eat and don't like to run much.  I live with Sage and Scruffy.

I'm pretty tame and can be picked up any time. For a long time I tried to bite Dad. I would leap at this finger with my mouth open but he's too fast for me to grab it. When Mom puts her finger in the cage, I grab it with my front feet and climb onto her hand. Dad says I'm trying to kill him but he's just being a big sissy.
