Scruffy

Scruffy

My name is Scruffy. Mom says it’s because I look ‘scruffy’. I wasn't sure what that meant but Ginger told me it means I'm sort of messy looking. Well, gee, I can't help that. I have longer hair than all the other mice and it doesn't always lay down flat. Mom and Dad think I'm cute though. I like to look at Mom and Dad through the glass. I will even stand up with my feet on the glass to see them but it's really scary when they reach into the cage. Ginger and Sage aren't afraid of them, but I am. I jump in the wheel and run as fast as I can to get away from them. I'm not sure why that doesn't work though.  Ginger just looks at me and shakes her head. Sometimes I will take a treat from Mom or Dad, but I squint my eyes closed and take tiny steps toward the treat until I can grab it and run away to eat it.  I'm a large mouse but not fat.
